Whose creation is Winnie-the-Pooh?

Alan Alexander Milne wrote the book “Winnie-the-Pooh” in 1926 and “The House at Pooh Corner” in 1928. The stories were based on his son, Christopher Robin Milne, and his stuffed toys, including a teddy bear, a donkey named Eeyore and a piglet. The bear’s name came partly from Winnipeg, a real black bear at London Zoo that Christopher loved to visit, and partly from a swan called Pooh. The Hundred Acre Wood was modelled on Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. Disney acquired rights in the 1960s, turning Pooh into one of the most valuable characters in the world.
