Whose creation is Tintin?

Georges Remi took the pen name Hergé from the French pronunciation of his reversed initials, “R.G.”. Tintin, a young reporter with a quiff, and his dog Snowy first appeared in January 1929 in Le Petit Vingtième, a children’s supplement of a Belgian newspaper. Hergé completed 23 albums, with a 24th, “Tintin and Alph-Art”, left unfinished at his death in 1983. His clean, detailed style became known as the “ligne claire” (clear line). The books have been translated into more than 100 languages and have sold over 200 million copies.
