Whose creation is Peter Pan?

James Matthew Barrie introduced Peter Pan in his 1902 adult novel “The Little White Bird”. The character became famous with the play “Peter Pan, or the Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up”, which premiered in London on 27 December 1904. Barrie turned the play into the 1911 novel “Peter and Wendy”. He was inspired by the Llewelyn Davies boys, whom he befriended in Kensington Gardens and later became guardian of. In 1929 Barrie gave the copyright of Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, which still benefits from it.
