Which country has the most pyramids?

Egypt is famous for the Great Pyramid of Giza, but Sudan actually has more pyramids. Between about 200 and 255 pyramids were built in Sudan by the rulers of the ancient Kingdom of Kush, compared with roughly 118 to 138 identified in Egypt. The Nubian pyramids are much smaller, generally between 6 and 30 metres tall, with steeper sides of about 70 degrees. The largest group stands at Meroe, north of Khartoum, where about 200 pyramids served as tombs for Kushite kings and queens between roughly 2,700 and 2,300 years ago. The Meroe site was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011.
