Where is Teotihuacan?

Teotihuacan was one of the largest cities in the ancient Americas, flourishing from about the 1st to the 6th century CE. At its height around 450 CE it may have housed 100,000 people or more. Its layout follows the Avenue of the Dead, a wide road lined by the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon and the Temple of the Feathered Serpent. The Pyramid of the Sun stands about 65 metres tall, making it one of the largest pyramids in Mesoamerica. The city was abandoned centuries before the Aztecs, who gave it the name Teotihuacan, meaning 'place where the gods were created'.
