Whose music is Flight of the Bumblebee?

Rimsky-Korsakov wrote The Tale of Tsar Saltan in 1899–1900, and it premiered in Moscow in 1900. The opera is based on a fairy-tale poem by Alexander Pushkin. In the story, the magical Swan-Bird turns Prince Gvidon into a bumblebee so that he can fly to visit his father, and the short orchestral interlude imitates the buzzing insect's rapid flight. Its non-stop runs of fast notes have made it a favourite showpiece for virtuoso performers on instruments from violin to trumpet and piano. Rimsky-Korsakov was also a naval officer as a young man and later a leading teacher at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory.
