Where is Angel Falls?

Angel Falls plunges from the edge of a flat-topped mountain called Auyan-tepui in Venezuela, dropping about 979 metres in total. Its longest single drop is around 807 metres, making it the tallest uninterrupted waterfall on Earth. The water falls so far that much of it turns to mist before reaching the ground, especially in the dry season. The falls lie deep in remote rainforest within Canaima National Park and are usually reached by a combination of light aircraft and river boat. The local Pemon people call the falls Kerepakupai Meru.
