The Full Story
The pygmy marmoset lives in the rainforests of the upper Amazon basin in countries including Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil. Its body is only about 12 to 15 centimetres long, with a tail that is even longer. It feeds mainly on tree gum and sap, gnawing holes in bark with specialised lower teeth.
