Which country has the longest coastline?

Canada has the longest coastline of any country on Earth, measuring about 202,000 kilometres — more than six times the circumference of the planet. This vast figure comes largely from its tens of thousands of islands in the Arctic Archipelago and its deeply indented, fjord-like shores. Indonesia ranks second with around 54,000 kilometres, boosted by its more than 17,000 islands. Coastline length is notoriously hard to measure because the finer the ruler used, the longer the coast appears — a phenomenon known as the coastline paradox — so published figures vary between sources.
