Where was Harry Potter filmed?

The eight Harry Potter films, released between 2001 and 2011, were largely made at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, which is now home to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. Alnwick Castle in Northumberland appeared as Hogwarts in the early films, including the first flying lesson. In Oxford, Christ Church’s staircase and the Bodleian Library’s Divinity School were used, and Gloucester Cathedral’s cloisters became Hogwarts corridors. The Hogwarts Express crossed the Glenfinnan Viaduct in the Scottish Highlands. In London, Leadenhall Market stood in for the area around the Leaky Cauldron, and scenes were filmed at King’s Cross station.
