Where is the largest waterfall by volume?

Measured by volume of water, Inga Falls on the Congo River in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the largest waterfall on Earth, with an average flow of around 25,000 to 43,000 cubic metres per second over a series of rapids dropping about 96 metres. This dwarfs the flow of famous falls like Niagara, which averages roughly 2,400 cubic metres per second. If underwater cataracts are counted, the Denmark Strait cataract between Greenland and Iceland moves vastly more water, carrying around 3.5 million cubic metres per second down a 3,500-metre drop beneath the ocean. Among conventional falls, Africa dominates because the Congo drains the second-largest rainforest basin in the world.
