Where is Mohenjo-daro?

Mohenjo-daro lies on the right bank of the Indus River in Sindh, southern Pakistan, near the town of Larkana. Built around 2500 BC, it was one of the largest cities of the Indus Valley Civilisation and among the most advanced urban centres of the ancient world. Its streets followed a grid plan, and homes were connected to covered drains, while a public building known as the Great Bath may have been used for rituals. The city was abandoned around 1900 BC, and its ruins were identified by archaeologist R. D. Banerji in 1922. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980.
