Whose work founded modern nursing?

Florence Nightingale revolutionised healthcare in the mid-19th century. While caring for wounded soldiers during the Crimean War, she showed that clean conditions, fresh air, and good sanitation dramatically reduced deaths from infection. Known as the Lady with the Lamp for her night rounds, she later founded the first scientifically based nursing school and used pioneering statistical charts to persuade officials to reform hospitals. Her work turned nursing into a respected, evidence-based profession.
