Whose book is The Jungle Book?

Rudyard Kipling was born in Bombay (now Mumbai), India, in 1865, and his Indian childhood shaped many of his stories. Surprisingly, he wrote The Jungle Book while living in Vermont, in the United States. The collection includes the stories of Mowgli, a boy raised by wolves, along with Bagheera the panther, Baloo the bear and the tiger Shere Khan, as well as other tales such as 'Rikki-Tikki-Tavi'. A sequel, The Second Jungle Book, followed in 1895. In 1907 Kipling became the first English-language writer to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature.
