Which continent is the largest?

Asia covers roughly 44.6 million square kilometres, about 30 percent of the land area of Earth. It is also by far the most populous continent, with around 4.8 billion people, roughly 60 percent of humanity, including the giants China and India. Asia contains both the highest point on Earth, the summit of Mount Everest at 8,849 metres, and the lowest point on land, the shore of the Dead Sea at about 430 metres below sea level. Africa is the second-largest continent at about 30.3 million square kilometres. Australia is the smallest continent.
