Where is the most remote place on Earth?

Point Nemo, officially the oceanic pole of inaccessibility, is the spot in the ocean farthest from any land. It lies in the South Pacific, roughly 2,700 kilometres from the nearest coastlines. It is so isolated that the closest humans are often the astronauts aboard the International Space Station passing overhead, rather than anyone on the surface. Because it is far from shipping lanes and marine life, space agencies use the area as a spacecraft graveyard for controlled re-entries.
