Where is the largest river by volume?

The Amazon River in South America is by far the largest river on Earth by discharge, pouring an average of about 209,000 cubic metres of water per second into the Atlantic Ocean — more than the next seven largest rivers combined. It carries roughly 20 percent of all the fresh water that flows from the worlds rivers into the oceans. Its outflow is so immense that it noticeably dilutes the salinity of the Atlantic for over 100 kilometres offshore. While the Nile in Africa is often cited as the longest river, the Amazon rivals it in length and utterly surpasses it in volume, draining a basin of about 7 million square kilometres.
