Which is the tallest statue in the world?

The Statue of Unity in the Indian state of Gujarat is the tallest statue in the world, standing 182 metres high. It depicts Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a leader of India’s independence movement and the country’s first deputy prime minister, and was inaugurated on 31 October 2018, his birth anniversary. It took less than four years to build and has a steel frame covered in bronze cladding. It overtook China’s Spring Temple Buddha, which is about 128 metres tall without its base. By comparison, the Statue of Liberty measures about 93 metres from the ground to the tip of its torch.
