Michael Schumacher won his titles in 1994 and 1995 with Benetton, then five in a row with Ferrari from 2000 to 2004. Lewis Hamilton won his first title with McLaren in 2008, then six more with Mercedes in 2014, 2015 and from 2017 to 2020. Juan Manuel Fangio of Argentina set the early benchmark with five titles in the 1950s, a record that stood for 46 years. Hamilton also holds the records for the most race wins, with 105, and the most pole positions. In 2025 he joined Ferrari, the team with which Schumacher won five of his crowns.
