Which country produces the most oil?

The United States has been the worlds largest producer of crude oil since around 2018, pumping roughly 13 million barrels per day, driven largely by the shale oil boom achieved through hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling. Saudi Arabia and Russia are the next largest producers, and along with other members of the OPEC alliance they wield significant influence over global oil prices by coordinating output. While the United States produces the most, Saudi Arabia and Russia have historically been the biggest exporters, since the United States also consumes an enormous amount of oil domestically. Venezuela holds the largest proven oil reserves.
