Where is Mount Roraima?

Mount Roraima rises in the Pakaraima range of South America, with most of its summit plateau inside Venezuela's Canaima National Park. Its summit plateau covers about 31 square kilometres and reaches roughly 2,810 metres above sea level, surrounded by sheer cliffs around 400 metres high. The tepui is made of ancient sandstone that geologists date to around two billion years old. Constant rain has created bizarre black rock formations, pools and many plants found nowhere else. Its remote, cliff-bound summit is often said to have inspired Arthur Conan Doyle's 1912 novel The Lost World.
